Description
Talash Wintergreen essential oil comes from wintergreen - an evergreen shrub with slender and extensively creeping stems from which arise erect branches bearing at the top oval, leathery leaves with toothed (often bristly), margins. It grows up to around 15 cm high. It can grow in full shade (deep woodland) or semi-shade (light woodland). It prefers dry or moist soil and can tolerate drought. Its white, waxy, bell shaped flowers hang down below the leaves.
