Description
The grapefruit is obtained from a cultivated tree that has large, glossy, dark green leaves and white, star shaped flowers. The origin of the tree is uncertain although it is thought to be a hybrid of the sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) and the Pomelo or Shaddock (Citrus maximus).
